Electronics Repair Technician
The Electronics Repair Technician works as part of the quality department and will provide production with support in -
- Repairing production units and customer repairs
- Developing and maintaining SOPs for repairs
- Supporting production with Root Cause Analysis on reworked parts
- Compiling reports and in-depth analysis linked to repairs.
- Assisting and carrying out product test procedures to support the Test Resources. Production and Development functions
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of electronic equipment covering both digital and analogue circuitry.
- Attention to detail
- Confident IT skills
- Previous experience of fault finding on PCBs and electronic equipment would be an advantage.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out fault finding tests in PCBs, finished goods and warranty repairs and complete the corrective actions.
- Provide production repairs analysis and reports.
- Carry out test procedures.
- Record and collate test data and fill in fault reports for customers.
- To work within production process when required
- Carry out EMC and new product basic function testing.
- Test hardware development build and maintenance.
- Support process improvements and developments
- Indicate in real time where the faults occur in production line.
- Machinery maintenance, calibration, and profiling
- Other duties as required to ensure the production area operates effectively and efficiently.
