AD Energy are working with our high tech Automotive client, who are a leader in automotive test equipment. With 2024 and beyond already looking very exciting with current and future projects, hiring a Service Engineer is a key hire for the business. We are seeking someone who has a technical level understanding of electrical/electronics engineering, various measurement instrumentation and some mechanical servicing experience. In-house training is provided.
The majority of Service visits will be located around Coventry/Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Peterborough and surrounding areas.

Some of the key functions the Service Engineer;
- The servicing and support of automotive test equipment
- Installation and commissioning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting / field rectification, service technical support and customer training.
- Routine maintenance and servicing and breakdown repairs of test equipment - primarily on customer sites but occasionally in the company service workshop.
- Support installation, commissioning activities, field troubleshooting and upgrade campaigns. To train customers in the proper operation of the equipment where required.
- To train customers in the routine maintenance of the equipment where required.
- To carry out all activities with proper regard for personal safety and the safety of colleagues and customers.
- To ensure that all work and parts are properly recorded and Service Reports are completed and forwarded to relevant Service Coordinators in a timely manner.
- To maintain personal and departmental equipment in a safe and tidy state.
- Responsibility for Health and Safety, risk assessments
Key experience:
- Educated up to minimum of HND level in electronics or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Automotive or Electrical Engineering background is important.
- Excellent diagnostic skills and an ability to work unsupervised under pressure
- Happy to travel to customer sites
