Job description

Calling all talented Electronics Technicians, I have a great opportunity to discuss with you. As the Electronics Technician you will be working within the Engineering team, you will support the Electronics Team and wider R&D team to deliver research and product development programmes. You will provide support across the range of the company’s existing and future products to support the company’s mission of transforming Radiology. Candidate ProfileAs an ideal candidate, you will have a minimum qualification at Level 3 (e.g. A Level, T Level or NVQ) in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. You will have IC and IPC , or equivalent experience. Key ResponsibilitiesMain duties and responsibilities:Prototype electronic assemblies and devices in accordance with suitable guidance and/or documentation from engineersAssemble and connect system components (e.g. cables)Build prototype models based on technical guidelinesRework circuit boardsRepair malfunctions in circuitry and other system structuresRead and comprehend technical manuals and diagramsSupport colleagues across the R&D team with technical tasks and testing requirementsUse various tools to build and repair systemsUse electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multi-meters to verify results Maintaining a tidy and organised electronics workspaceAttending and supporting tests performed at external test houses, such as EMC and electrical safety testingVarious other tasks that may reasonably be expected of a TechnicianSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseSkills: Proactive, results driven focus with the ability to identify and troubleshoot potential problems to their successful resolution Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, R&D setting Taking ownership of realising resultsProficient in the use of general Technician’s hand toolsHand soldering, crimping and wiring techniquesWiring looms (manufacture and attachment)Ability to follow technical drawings and schematicsExcellent written and verbal communication skills Fault finding and troubleshooting for both electrical and electronic systems Ability to document processes and report on designs and testsExperience: Experience in electronics and PCB assembly techniquesExperience of prototype device assemblyExperience in using various test equipment, such as multi-meters etc
