Job Description

About the role

Sibylline Ltd is looking for a motivated security professional to join us as an Embedded Physical Security Operations Operator for a global trading client. Reporting to the embedded Team Lead, the successful candidate will join a 24/7 team of security specialists providing access control, incident response, threat monitoring, and intelligence analysis services in a state-of-the-art, purpose-built Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC) in the heart of London’s financial district.

In their multifaceted role, PSOC Operators assume a range of critical responsibilities aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the organization's personnel and assets. This encompasses the oversight of intelligence report development and the adept management of time-sensitive requests for information. They maintain constant vigilance over national events in real-time to promptly address operational implications and maintain a state of general awareness. An integral component of their duties involves the orchestration of actionable insights, encompassing the projection and analysis of geopolitical, security, and localized site-related concerns.

To execute these responsibilities effectively, they leverage modern investigative security platforms to monitor access control and CCTV feeds. This allows them to respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies as they emerge. Furthermore, they bear the responsibility of disseminating communications concerning global events that hold the potential to impact the well-being of company personnel and valuable assets.

The role extends to serving as a central point for escalation, coordination, and communication during times of crisis and acting as a security concierge for the client. This necessitates close collaboration with diverse stakeholders within the organization and fellow corporate security teams. Additionally, Operators will engage with various business functions, ensuring a holistic approach to addressing their needs, expectations, and concerns. Regular and ad hoc reporting on travel destinations, aligned with the organization's risk profile, are integral to PSOC’s mandate.

Operators will conduct thorough horizon scanning, making use of open-source intelligence (OSINT), third-party software, and internal reporting. The culmination of these efforts yields comprehensive reports spotlighting emerging trends and incidents in regions where the company operates. This, in turn, bolsters business continuity, security, and overall safety. With meticulous documentation of threats to the client's reputation, they enable comprehensive reporting and reviews for the client and key decision makers.

The PSOC operates 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Operators must therefore be flexible to work on weekends, public holidays, and night shifts as required by the shift rota. The successful candidate will also need to be within commutable distance of Central London, as remote work is not available for this role. Operators must exhibit adaptability to the changing needs of the work schedule and shift workload, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team.

Operators will be managed by the embedded Team Lead day-to-day but will also report to Sibylline’s Intelligence Operations team in London. As part of this role, Operators will engage and collaborate with other Sibylline teams around the world to share resources, guidance, and best practices. Full support and guidance will be provided from our head office, including training and professional development.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to continue their development as a security professional with a leading firm growing at 50% per year. We offer strong career progression and are invested in building individuals' personal professional profiles. Moreover, being embedded truly offers “the best of both worlds”, giving a small firm ethos alongside large firm exposure and experience.
