RNIB wants to see more people with sight loss in employment.
In this role, you will be part of Pre-Employment Team that develops partnerships with providers of mainstream employment programmes to improve their ability to support job seekers with sight loss. You will build the skills and expertise of the staff within these organisations to help them deliver high quality employment support services alongside working closely with RNIB Helpline, Sight Loss Advice service and the RNIB Networks in delivering employment services.
You will also work with individuals to help them plan their journey into employment and seek, secure employment.
You will have experience of providing advice and guidance in a career or employment setting. You will also have experience of partnership working to achieve positive outcomes for customers and demonstrate excellent networking skills. You will understand how government funded employment programmes work and be comfortable working to meet performance targets.
You don't need direct experience working with people with sight loss, but having an understanding of what sight loss is and how it affects people in employment would be an advantage.
