- Are you passionate about well-being?
- Would you like to be part of an organisation that would like to continuously improve the support it provides employees?
- Do you want the autonomy to be fundamental to that?
National Star is a special education needs organisation providing the opportunity for young people with disabilities to realise their potential as equal and active citizens in control of their lives. This sits at the heart of everything we do, from the personalised and world-class learning we provide via National Star College to training, specialist services and our work in the wider community. All of this is underpinned by both our passion to enrich people’s lives and by our moral and statutory responsibilities.
With more than 1,200 employees, National Star’s well-being strategy is fundamental to ensuring that our employees are supported with their health and well-being.
We’re looking for an experienced Well-being Lead who can further develop the existing strategy, and ensure that all initiatives are in place to support colleagues across our services in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Wales.
Ideally, you will have clinical experience of occupational health, although this could remain an outsourced provision. In addition to management of occupational health, you will support our 12 mental health first aiders, develop and deliver initiatives to promote physical and mental wellbeing, support the CPD team with training, and manage our health cash back scheme and employee assistance programme.
We hope that you will see value in face to face interaction and therefore be based on site predominantly. However, there is opportunity for a proportion of home working balanced with site work depending on organisational need.
