About The Team & Role


This is an unique opportunity to make your mark on this new role and make a difference to the wellbeing of colleagues at Gloucestershire County Council.


You’ll work closely with our new Employee Mental Health Lead, working with our passionate Health and Wellbeing Champions, the wider People Services team and stakeholders across the council, focusing on activity which will enhance the overall health and wellbeing of staff. A new element of this role is that you’ll spend time liaising with stakeholders and managers, analysing data across the council and identifying opportunities to proactively reach out to teams and work with them to put in place plans to support improvements in their wellbeing. You’ll also work on evaluating and measuring the difference your input makes so we can showcase the value of wellbeing activities.


About You


To be successful you’ll be passionate about health and wellbeing in the workplace and be able to confidently explain the business rationale for addressing Employee Wellbeing. You’ll also be able to engage at all levels of the councils to develop and help implement plans for change, either at a large scale across the council or working with individual teams. You’ll be confident to take information from a range of sources and work effectively with the Employee Mental Health Lead to identify the opportunities, and evaluate the impact you are having.
