An exciting role to help support the transformation of Thames Water through helping to build a new culture based on powerful storytelling and as part of this transformation include the health, safety and wellbeing Turnaround Plan.
What you’ll be doing as an Employee Comms Manager
  • Engaging with and being the liaison point for all HS&W within the Employee Communications team.
  • Work with the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Leadership team and colleagues across the organisation to build and deliver engaging employee communication plans and content to drive clear understanding of the company’s turnaround plan, business plan and our priorities.
  • Ensure alignment with external messaging through collaboratively planning communications campaigns with other Communications team colleagues.   
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to effectively coordinate HS&W communications needs from across the business and enhance and protect company reputation. 
  • When required, work closely with contractors to ensure communication developed by them for their projects are delivered to required HS&W best practice. 
  • Provide support with measuring the impact and effectiveness of HS&W communications campaigns.
  • Work with the wider communications team to develop and deliver joined-up comms strategies.
Base Location: Reading - Hybrid
Working Pattern or hours: 36 Hours
What you should bring to the role
  • Experience in video creation and editing preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills essential. 
  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English required. 
  • Familiar with MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) preferred. 
  • Strong previous track record of communications and campaign handling.
  • Internal communications or communications consultancy experience.
