About Our Client
Our client is a highly respected law firm that employs over 1000 professionals across the UK. They specialise in providing a broad range of services to both businesses and individuals. They are looking for an Employment Senior/Managing Associate to join their expanding team in Manchester. The employment team includes 48 employment specialists across the country, the team provide a specialist employment law and HR advisory service to a range of companies from PLCs to SMEs.
Job Description
As an Employment Senior Associate/Managing Associate you will:
- Provide expert legal advice on complex employment law matters to clients within the professional services industry
- This includes advice on disciplinary and grievance matters, unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, whistleblowing, redundancy, restructures and strategic advice to senior management teams and boards. You will also advise senior executives and professionals in all aspects of the employment relationship.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Handle a varied caseload, managing each case from initial advice through to resolution
- Prepare legal documents and correspondence
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless service to clients
- Stay updated with changes in employment law and advise clients accordingly
- Contribute to business development activities to grow the firm's client base in Birmingham and beyond
- Mentor and guide junior members of the team
The Successful Applicant
A successful Employment Senior Associate/Managing Associate should have:
- A minimum of 4 PQE in employment law
- Strong client management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle a varied caseload and meet tight deadlines
- A forward-thinking approach to legal advice
