What’s it all about?
Visa is searching for a Enabler Business Development Manager to collaborate with our seller-side Enabler clients to assist in the growth and expansion of our company by supporting the development of new business opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to build a career in Business Development or sales.
The European Enabler Business Development team is responsible for driving pan-European growth by establishing close partnerships with Merchant Service Providers. This includes payment gateways, payment orchestrators, ISVs, payment facilitators, payment service providers and other key emerging fintechs on the seller side.
This role requires close collaboration with various teams across Visa. As an integral member of the Merchant Sales & Acquiring team, this individual brings strong organisational skills, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, be capable of actively driving Business Development. Partnering with clients to drive solutions, enable new flows, expand acceptance, and grow Visa usage is a key element of this role.
Reporting to the Head of Key Enabler Partnerships and working with colleagues across the business, this Manager will deliver on high-profile, cross functional strategies and plans. In collaboration with internal partners, this role will accelerate the deployment of Visa’s digital products and solutions and develop business plans to deliver sustainable revenue growth and achieve Visa goals.
What we expect of you, day to day.
Partner with long tail enablers– Build and maintain the enabler long tail client. Identify and secure new opportunities, establish preference for Visa payments and solutions, reactively manage the ongoing needs of the clients and provide guidance to internal teams to ensure the highest quality customer service on all matters ranging from strategic to executional. Have a pro-active, solutions-oriented mindset.
Facilitate Business Development- laser focused on ways of reaching new customers with a growth orientated focus. Leverage networking skills with individuals and clients both internally and externally to activate business opportunities.
Drive positive client outcomes –Identifying and prioritising the enabler long tail by selling solutions and products that grow the clients’ business and drive specific commercial metrics and increase client satisfaction with Visa products and services. Learn, build and articulate the Visa value proposition.
Establish strong internal partnerships – partner with functions across Visa to deliver success in the long tail. Ensure fluency in all client-facing solutions appropriate to long tail enablers. Articulate client needs and influence product road maps by leveraging client feedback. Continuously ensure a full alignment with other Account Executives in charge of the same client in other Regions, providing guidance and sharing information.
Support the expansion of Visa acceptance by aligning Visa objectives and solutions to enablers’ Business Development plans. This includes expansion into new markets, growth sectors, non-card payments, omni-channel solutions, and terminalisation.
Develop a broad understanding of issues, growth areas and market trends affecting the payments landscape specifically in relation to Enabler clients.
Strive to deliver Visa goals and be a role model for Visa’s leadership principles.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Strong interest or relevant background in sales or Business Development within a global organisation.
Proficient and comfortable to engage and work effectively with clients and Visa teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (including creation of presentations).
Solid commercial understanding with the ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
Data management and analytics skills, high proficiency with Microsoft excel.
Experience of maintaining database of records leveraging excel and CRM systems, preferably MS Dynamics
Exceptional attention to detail, superb organisational skills, and the ability to multitask at scale.
Ability to prioritise projects with a key focus on client needs.
Excellent interpersonal skills collaborating across functions and geographies in a complex matrix environment.

Willingness to travel periodically as required.
Preference for experience of working in payments and good working knowledge of cards and payments.
