We are currently recruiting for an Endoscopy Lead Practitioner to join the team at a prestigious private healthcare provider in the Guildford area

The main duties of the Endoscopy Lead Practitioner role include:
- Assist the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead in managing and organizing care within the endoscopy unit, ensuring quality planned care throughout the patient pathway.
- Deliver high-quality planned care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures within my professional scope.
- Contribute to enhancing Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards in flexible endoscopy services, including both decontamination and clinical care.
- Foster personal skills and knowledge development.
- Adhere to legislation, policies, and procedures accurately.
- Uphold patient dignity, privacy, and honour their wishes and beliefs.
- Engage in departmental communication, contribute to policy development, and actively participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and meetings.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Demonstrated leadership in overseeing a clinical team.
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC certification.
- Basic and advanced competencies or qualifications in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
- Completion of an Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
- Essential Endoscopy expertise required; familiarity with JAG accreditation is beneficial; leadership qualifications or experience are advantageous.
- Qualifications in teaching, assessing, or mentorship, along with awareness of relevant standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01-06).
- Immediate Life Support (ILS) certification
