The main duties of the Endoscopy Practitioner role include:
- Delivering high-quality planned care throughout the endoscopy patient journey, aiding and supporting the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead in organizing care provision within the endoscopy unit.
- Offering high-quality planned care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures within the defined professional scope.
- Contributing to the enhancement of Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards within flexible endoscopy services, encompassing decontamination and clinical care, and engaging in their improvement.
- Striving to develop and enrich personal skills and knowledge base.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- Registered Practitioner holding NMC or HCPC registration.
- Basic and advanced competencies/credentials in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
- Completion of an Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
- Qualifications in teaching, assessing, and mentorship, alongside familiarity with relevant standards and external bodies (such as Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01-06).
- Possession of ILS (Immediate Life Support) certification.
- Essential experience in Endoscopy.
