We are currently recruiting for a Lead Theatre Practitioner - Anaesthetics to join the theatre team at a prestigious private healthcare provider in the Basingstoke area

The main duties of the Lead Theatre Practitioner - Anaesthetics role include:

• Providing safe, high-quality care to patients throughout their perioperative phase while supporting and organizing care delivery in the Operating Department.
• Leading and overseeing a team, managing staff training and resource needs within a perioperative function or specific surgical specialty.
• Aiding in patient care delivery.
• Contributing to enhancing quality standards.
• Developing and improving the skills and knowledge of both oneself and others.
• Advocating and applying best evidence-based practices within the defined professional scope.
• Adhering to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Upholding awareness of the Health and Safety at Work Act, ensuring appropriate measures are taken for the safety of patients, families, visitors, hospital staff, and contractors.
• Gathering, inspecting, and preparing the necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for a diverse range of operative procedures.

What we are looking for in a successful candidate:

• Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
• An appropriate amount of experience encompassing coordination, ordering, first assisting, mentoring, and overseeing others.
• Certification as a first surgical assistant.
• Additional expertise in recovery and anaesthetics.
• Possession of ILS (Immediate Life Support) certification.
• Qualification in mentorship.
• Track record in customer care, including adeptness in handling challenging customer interactions.
• Lead Anaesthetic Practitioner with a minimum of 2 years in a senior role, demonstrating excellent communication, organizational, and team management skills, while providing support, knowledge, and expertise to the anaesthetic team.
