Job description

Due to increased demand, an extremely exciting opportunity has arisen to work as the Energy Management - Energy Project Technician.

This is a permanent full-time role based at Entrust HQ, Riverway, Stafford reporting to the Energy Consultant Team Leader and working alongside the current Projects Engineer.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing a high quality and comprehensive BMS service, including the day-to-day operation and continued support and development of our clients Building Energy Management Systems.
• Diagnosing heating problems using the BEMS, and rectification of any faults.
• Evaluating energy saving initiatives and supporting the development of strategies to reduce the client's energy consumption.
• Investigating high energy consumption and identifying areas of excessive wastage.
• Promoting the Energy Management Team and its services throughout the current portfolio of clients and when required, with other organisations.
• Contributing to the overall performance of Entrust Property Services through personnel performance, proactive customer care, co-operation with other departments in the business and wider Capita network and support of initiatives approved by the clients.
• Actively pursuing the attainment of the team's objectives and shared values in relation to the Energy Management Team.
• To assist the rest of the team in promoting and developing the highest quality of energy management standards with particular emphasis on value-for-money and cost-in-use, whilst assisting in ensuring compliance with client requirements, current legislation and Codes of Practice.
• To assist the Energy Team Leader and colleagues in encouraging and participating in the development of improved working methods and developing close and effective working relationships with other departments to maximise the benefits of in-house professional services and the integrated use of computer technology in the energy management process.
• Provide cover across the team as and when required due to holiday and workloads.
• Proactively manage and champion property issues.
• Actively pursuing Entrusts objectives and shared values in relation to the Energy Management Team.
• Ensure personal knowledge and expertise is kept relevant and up to date applicable to the post. In this respect the post holder shall be expected to pursue and carrying out Continuing Professional Development and keep abreast of current and new legislation appropriate to the profession of an Energy Project Engineer.

Your experience and skills will include.

• HNC/HND in Electrical engineering or equivalent/similar.
• Experience of Trend and preferably some knowledge of other BEMS manufacturers.
• Working knowledge of System Link software.
• Excellent Excel skills & working knowledge of other MS Office packages.
• Ability to work on own initiative or within a team to tight timescales.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work with various ICT programmes.
• Experience of working in or directly with schools.
• A good record of attendance at work.
• Hold a valid UK driving license.
• Eye for detail.
• Ability to use initiative.
• A customer focused can do approach.
• A flexible attitude to work.
• Commitment to personal and professional development of self and colleagues.
• To be able to cope in high pressure situation.
