Enforcement Lawyer – London – Competitive Hourly Rate – Hybrid Working

Position:Enforcement Lawyer

Organisation: London based Local Authority

Duration: 3 month initial contract

Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working- twice a week office attendance

Hourly Rate:  Competitive hourly rate

Venn Group’s legal team are working with a London basedLocal Authority to recruit a Locum Enforcement Lawyerto join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate for this role will be either be an experienced Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has experience in handling a wide range of enforcement matters.

Knowledge and understanding of the processes of Service Charges, First-Tier Tribunal, Land Tribunals and Court is essential.

 Local Government experience is preferable but not essential for this role provided there is significant relevant experience.

Duties shall include:

1-      To manage a caseload under minimal supervision

2-      Responsible for assisting in initiating legal action against freeholders and leaseholders for the recovery of revenue and capital service charge debt

3-      To prepare cases for presentation to the First-Tier Tribunal

4-      Evaluating evidence, interviewing witnesses and preparing witness statements

5-      Undertaking legal research
