This opportunity is suitable for lawyers who have a background in and wish to broaden their experience in the field of enforcement principally in the magistrates’ court and Licensing and managing a small team of experienced lawyers. We are looking for individuals who are real team players, self-motivated and flexible and able to work to tight timescales. You will be dealing with a wide range of matters acting for our Boroughs as both prosecutor or Complainant in all types of regulatory enforcement and compliance including food safety, trading standards, health and safety, blue badge, dangerous structures, planning and highways, environmental, CIL recovery etc. In the licensing context, you would act as legal adviser to licensing sub-committees and represent the committee on appeals. A knowledge of local government legislation is desirable and/or can be developed.
