Senior Commercial Lawyer

A household name in the travel industry is looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Lawyer to join their legal team in a newly created position. The business is looking for someone with a strong commercial background in the travel industry to lead a variety of legal work, with a focus on commercial contracts, advising on global trade partnerships, promotions/marketing campaigns, and provide consumer law and regulatory advice.

This will include:

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of travel industry legal agreements with a focus on commercial agreements with international trade partners and travel agency network.
• Advising on regulatory and corporate governance matters applicable to UK, EU, and international business activities.
• Managing legal risk across all business functions.
• Working closely with all areas of the business and international offices.

About you

Ideally you will have circa 8-15 years’ PQE. The position requires a strong commercial background within the travel industry specifically. Previous experience working with package travel regulators and with European travel regulatory is essential.

The role will also require confidence in people management and the ability to manage own workload.

This would be a great step up for a Senior Commercial Lawyer already working in-house or for a senior private practice lawyer who has spent some time in-house, to transition.
