Engineer - Highways Operations

Sunderland City Council are looking appoint to the permanent position of Engineer in the Highways Operations Team.
The position will be filled by a person able to deliver front-line services and improved co-ordination/delivery of mainstream services that are responsive to local needs.andnbsp;
They will prepare, design, and implement highway schemes, and provide contract and project management working with an appropriate Highways Design Group team and with external contractors.
Requirements of the post, candidates must:
- Hold a full UK/ EEC Driving Licence
- Be prepared to work in all weathers.
- Be able/prepared to meet the travel requirements of the post
- Be prepared to work flexible/ additional hours to meet the needs of the business.
