Job Responsibilities
- Proven experience working in refrigeration and familiarity of air conditioning systems to perform planned and reactive services, install, repair and maintenance in the retail sector.
- Establish your own work schedule, receive tickets on PDA, close tickets with detailed commentary.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
- Manage, rectify and record defects through the helpdesk to ensure SLA Timeframes are always met.
- Review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and sub-contractor competencies before work permits are authorised. AP experience would be advantageous.
- Support operational analysis of all engineering related performance metrics (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements. Including regular hazard/ incident reporting.
- Escalate any issue that would affect the availability, health and safety and security of the site.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- To respond to callouts and cover emergencies as required. Willingness to work flexible hours.
Person Skills
- A combination of experience and qualifications and certification; F Gas registered, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning City & Guilds 6187 (or equivalent). Recognised mechanical HVAC qualifications - Level 2 & 3.
- Full clean UK Driving License held for minimum of 3 years.
- Desirable PASMA/IPAF certified.
- Good verbal communication skills at all levels with good written English.
- Able to acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge of a building’s operation and services.
- Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg.
- To co-operate readily, politely and amicably with client onsite and Company personnel.
