This technology leader are seeking a 'switched-on individual', with a rigorous attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping to take control of sales order processing. The role would suit an ambitious Administrator with experience of computer-based order processing, ideally in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment. The Role Ensuring that customer orders are processed quickly and accurately so that the company can respond effectively to customers’ demanding expectations. Clear documentation and records are essential, both in order to comply with ISO9001 Quality Management System and to ensure that all team members have the information they need to deliver a successful project. This is a demanding, key role with direct communication with all teams and customers to manage orders, provide updates and monitor progress. Key Elements * Processing orders, checking for completeness, communicating with all team members, and recording documentation. * Monitoring progress of orders, highlighting when project delivery is at risk. * Keeping track of any missing project documentation. * Keeping all teams informed of progress. * Assisting with the development of processes and systems to improve effectiveness. * Dealing with shipping companies and booking deliveries ensuring costs are reasonable. * Updating customers and the sales team on delivery costs and progress. Requirements Essential: * Minimum of 2 years carrying out sales order processing in a manufacturing or engineering business. * Familiarity with processing orders in an ERP system and how those orders interact with other processes. * Excellent skills for communication with all teams. * Good ability with Excel, Word and other business applications. * Good verbal and written communication. * A good understanding of how different teams operate: sales, production, purchasing, customer support and finance. * Some knowledge of international logistics and shipping. Desirable: * Experience with Odoo or a similarly scaled ERP system. * Some examples of improvements made to processes, such as costs, turn-round time, or efficiency. * Qualifications at A-level or higher, ideally including technical or business subjects * Experience in a quality-controlled environment, ideally ISO9000.
