Engineering Maintenance Manager

SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Division are currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Maintenance Manager

for  our client across their sites in Keighley & Grassington, Yorkshire

The Role

This role is permanent and will involve the management of the Maintenance Department and its team of staff, whilst also working on day to day duties within the department.

 The role is varied and encompasses a variety of management areas including:

• Manage and lead all maintenance operations, processes and the engineering team in line with all company procedures.
• Managing equipment to meet all current legislation keeping all relevant records up to date.
• Create, implement, improve and Manage maintenance procedures. (Factory and Farm) Alongside providing the most cost-effective solutions.
• Manage, oversee and develop the maintenance schedule as an Engineering Maintenance Manager
• Fault find malfunctioning equipment to route cause, repair or arrange & oversee repair.
• Plan and manage installation activities.
• Manage all Engineering suppliers/ service providers.
• Liaise with relevant management to ensure efficient and safe operation of the site.
• Attend Management meetings and take the lead in the Engineering department reporting.

Essential Experience Required

• Engineering Maintenance Manager experience
• Relevant Apprentice training or relevant qualifications
• Electronics/ PLC
• Pneumatics
• Mechanical engineering
• Mig Tig welding
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Fault finding and maintenance experience
• Experience in the food and drinks manufacturing industry

The role of Engineering Maintenance Manager will require a conscientious, disciplined individual. The individual must have the ability to plan workload effectively and be  flexible to cope with changing circumstances.  Previous experience within an engineering  background is essential.

The position will be based on an average 48 hours week over 5 days, working days could include a Saturday if that is preferable to the applicant.

The role of Engineering Maintenance Manager requires flexibility to cover operating days between hours 07:00 and 19:00, to reach the 48 working hours per week.

Annual Salary Circa £50,000 plus company pension scheme
