circuit breakers is looking for an Engineering Manager - Design in Manchester. Along with a salary of up to £65,000 per annum, you will also receive 25 days holiday per year (pro rata) with a yearly increase, and a company pension scheme.
This is a varied and hands on role suiting an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer familiar with concept design through to final product manufacturing, ideally from a switchgear background and willing to manage and lead the team undertaking an end-to-end approach.
As Engineering Manager, you will:
- Take a lead role in design and manage the engineering and production teams
- Be active in discovering and investigating new manufacturing processes and techniques
- Interpret client requirements into functional cost-effective designs
- Liaise from sales through to inhouse fabrication
- HNC/HND with relevant experience or BSc/BEng Electrical / Mechanical Graduate
- Experience designing within SolidWorks to produce unambiguous manufacturing and assembly drawings
- Experience of IEC62271 and ENA TS41-36 standards
- Experience of sheet metal and CNC production processes for turned parts
- Knowledge of good assembly environment production practices
