We are currently seeking an energised and experienced Engineering Manager (Machine Learning) to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Machine Learning engineers and data scientists, providing technical guidance, career development, and mentorship.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Machine Learning models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including engineering and product development) to integrate Machine Learning solutions into our products and services.
- Drive innovation and stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of Machine Learning and artificial intelligence.
- Establish and maintain robust Machine Learning practices, ensuring high standards of accuracy, scalability, and reliability.
- Communicate complex Machine Learning concepts and outcomes to non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budget allocations effectively.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Machine Learning, data science, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a technical team.
- Extensive knowledge of Machine Learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch) and relevant programming languages (such as Python, Julia, C++).
- Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying Machine Learning models in a production environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including significant technical writing experience.
- Please note, ExTrac provides services to a number of different government clients, some of which specify nationality criteria for individuals seeking security clearance. Given that there may be a requirement for applicants to apply for certain security clearances, we can only consider applications from individuals who hold a UK passport.
Desirable Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- A PhD degree in a related field.
- Experience in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in data engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with MLOps best practices.
