Engineering safety consultant

We are looking for an electrical bias engineer for this newly created role and someone that is keen for lots of career development.
With a great training programme you will build of your existing knowledge to become an expert in the field.
The main function of this role is to support clients with compliance services which are directly related to machine safety and control systems. These will include PUWER assessments and UKCA/reviews.
The role will require you to travel extensively within the UK and some international travel.  You will be expected to be aware from home on a regular basis and will require and full UK driving licence as current valid passport.
With head office based in Northamptonshire, you will be required to attend site for regular meetings, training and other employment requirements.
You will:

• Offering consultant services throughout design and installation
• Audits
• Testing of existing equipment
• Pre - delivery inspections
• Liaising with internal and external teams to ensure all standards and legislation are maintained

Skills/Experience:

• Excellent communication skills, able to think and resolve problems on your feet
• Engineering qualification - ideally with an electrical bias
• Have an awareness of machinery directive or supply of machinery regulations
• Knowledge of applicable standards, regulations, legislation and industry codes of practice
