We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Manager to join a market leading manufacturing company in their respective field. An exciting opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Manager to join a well-established company and engineering team. As Maintenance Manager you will be tasked with the running and continuous improvement of the Maintenance & Engineering Department. You will likely be a strong man-manager with a comprehensive engineering background within a manufacturing environment. This role will appeal to an autonomous individual with a comprehensive idea of how to run a successful Engineering team within a pressurised environment. This position will appeal to a strong manager looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.
Role Description:
- Ensuring maintenance and/or engineering activities are carried out in a safe manner in compliance with all relevant company health and safety legislation.
- Leading a team to ensure all work is planned, scheduled, and completed in agreed timescales.
- Continually reviewing and improving site operational effectiveness, project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction.
- Manage, coach, and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives to deliver best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements.
- Management and implementation of continuous improvement strategies and modern manufacturing principals.
- Develop, implement, and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for each area of responsibility and drive the principles of continuous improvement.
- Ensure that designated buildings, plant, and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required.
- Input and hold responsibility for maintenance budgets.
- Support maintenance team on the use of contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Time served engineer with an electrical/mechanical/electronic discipline.
- BS degree (or Equivalent) in engineering discipline or suitable time served experience at Maintenance Manager level.
- Experience managing Profit and loss responsibilities for maintenance
- Membership of (or working towards) a professional body such as the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (desirable)
- PLC knowledge (desirable)
- Pressure vessels (desirable)
- Thermal oil (desirable)
