Job Description
Organon in Cramlington, UK is hiring Engineering Stores Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for the management and operation of the sites Engineering Stores. This includes leading and providing subject matter expertise on effective sourcing, ordering of parts & materials, stock control, and storage of equipment spares, janitorial products and consumables.
You will also manage contracts with vendors and service providers, seeking alternate, lower cost products and ensuring effective control of spare parts and inventory levels.
Responsibilities:
- Critically and periodically evaluate the spare parts portfolio and associated stock parameters.
- Ensure that the materials consumed are correctly written off from the stock control system.
- Replenishment of spare parts after consumption and evaluation utilizing MRP (SAP) system.
- Ensuring that stock counts are carried out in a timely manner.
- Progress deviations in a timely manner and implement effective preventative actions.
- Ensuring that the stores area(s) meet the business requirements, looking for innovative solutions to facilitate this requirement.
- Managing contracts with suppliers and following up on deliverables.
- Progress continuous improvement activities and cost saving opportunities.
- Lead critical equipment spares strategies and build effective working relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor the quality of delivered materials.
- Ensure that certificates are managed correctly.
- Documentation and analysis of data in SAP.
- Follow-up, reporting and keeping the spare parts budget under control.
- Provide direction and line management responsibility to small team.
- Receives directions and guidance from more senior team members and managers.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Higher university degree.
- Experience in managing Engineering Stores.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Working experience with SAP.
- Collaborative skills.
