Wessex Fluid Power Ltd are looking to recruit an Engineering Supply Administration Apprentice who has a strong desire to learn, to support the team with the day-to-day administration in a customer facing role.
Training to be provided:
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
About the role:
The Engineering Supply Administration Apprentice will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Support both the sales and accounting team in a customer facing role
  • Generate and send quotations, invoices and purchase orders using Quickbooks software
  • Communicating with customer via email, phone and face to face
  • Effectively record messages and daily tasks to be reviewed by the sales team
  • Develop a knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics industries
  • Delivering a high standard service to new and existing customers
  • Potential to expand duties and knowledge, such as the use of CAD

It is essential that the Engineering Supply Administration Apprentice has the following skills and personal qualities:

  • Attention to details
  • Ability to organise well and prioritise tasks
  • Problem solving
  • Time management
  • Customer care skills
  • IT competent, knowledge of Excel would be an advantage
  • GCSEs in maths and English with at least a grade C / 4
