PETA Ltd are proud to be working alongside PEARL Fit-Out to recruit and train an Administration Assistant Apprentice to become the backbone of their operations, ensuring seamless and efficiency in every project. If you have good levels of attention to details and confidence in your communication skills, then this is the role for you!
Training to be provided:
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
About the role:
As an Administration Assistant Apprentice, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the management and office team, duties will also include:
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct enquiries to the appropriate personnel
- Manage and maintain office supplies and equipment
- Following up on outstanding communications
- Perform general clerical tasks such as data entry, filing and record keeping
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations and other documentations as needed
- Liaising with suppliers, negotiating costs and updating material costs
- Assisting with procurement and placing orders
- Any other administrative duties that are required
There is the potential to be offered a full-time, permanent role at the end of the apprenticeship and future prospects will be dependent on company growth and requirements of new or additional roles.
Essential skills:
The ideal candidate must have the following skills:
- Be computer literate in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Organised with great time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, multitask effectively and adapt to changing priorities
- Work well in a team environment as well as independently when needed
- GCSEs in Maths and English grade 4/C or above or equivalent

Our in-house joinery production facility gives us complete control over the quality and manufacture of all projects undertaken. Ranging from turn-key fit out to supply only.
