Engineering Team Lead (Control Systems)

Our client is seeking an experienced Control SystemsEngineering Team Lead to join their team in the Tyneside area. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for leading a team of 6-8 engineers in the delivery of control system upgrades for electrical power transmission and distribution infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, lead, and coach the Transmission delivery team to ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards and on time
• Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications on all projects
• Work with the team to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives
• Develop, implement, and quality control the Control Systems delivery processes
• Liaise with internal and external engineers to provide complete solutions
• Manage resource and project allocation for the team
• Provide technical input for pre-sales activities and design reviews

Qualifications:

• Minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• Extensive experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry
• Proven track record of leading a multi-skilled Engineering Team
• Strong technical expertise in control and automation systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Growth mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement

This is a hybrid role, with the opportunity to work remotely 2-3 days per week. In addition to a competitive base salary, the client is offering a performance-based bonus, flexible working arrangements, a generous pension scheme, and 26 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays).
