Finlay Jude Associates are working with a leading company who specialise in providing solutions across the water, and wastewater industry.The Engineering Technician will be part of the Design team which covers the investigation and detail design of Clean and Waste Water Network, Civil Engineering and other projects.
The Engineering Technician will provide support to the Designer, through completion of tasks that complement the final design for the construction stage and success of the completion stage. The Engineering Technician responsibilities will include:
- Ensure compliance with all CDM, Health & Safety, and environmental issues
- Aware of advances in technology and implement where needed
- Complete tasks to current requirements of corporate systems, documentation and controls that comply with legislation, policy and procedure of the industry standard
- Ensure tasks are completed to specified timescales
- Liaise internally with departments, clients and third parties to ensure tasks are completed using the most cost effective method
- Produce accurate statutory notices for private land and easements in conjunction with the client's specification / requirements
- Ensure that at any outperformance opportunities are actively carried out within the stages of Investigation, Design, Detail Design, Delivery and Completion
- Complete self-assurance checks of tasks
- Complete quality assurance documentation throughout the end to end process of tasks
The successful Engineering Technician will have:
- Ideally looking for a person with experience in the water industry with a Mechanical or Structural background
- Competent in the use of Solid Works or AUTOCAD Inventor software
- Computer Aided Design (CAD, 2D and 3D)
- Well Organised
- Have a knowledge of Engineering principles
- Ability to create and read Technical Drawings
