Revit / MEP / Building Services Design / Revit Technician / CAD / BIM Technician
An exciting opportunity for a talented Digital Designer to join a friendly and growing Building Services, Environmental Design and Low Carbon Engineering practice, based in Bristol.
They are a dynamic building services and low carbon design practice at the forefront of low energy building design, working in a range of industry sectors. Delivering diverse award-winning and low-carbon projects, as well as low-energy retrofits of existing and heritage buildings, providing high quality, functional, low energy, comfortable buildings with as little impact on the environment as possible.
The role
You will have the autonomy and responsibility for setting up the 3D modelling environments, overseeing and refining our internal BIM workflows, and producing high quality drawing output on all projects. Using as many tools and plugins as possible to make life easier and communication clearer. You will be well supported in all aspects by Senior Engineers with extensive BIM experience
- Working internally with a team of engineers to produce high quality BIM output in Revit
- Driving forward our internal modelling standards
- Setting up MEP models and coordinating linked models from the external design team
- Facilitating clash detection
- Training engineers and setting internal workflows
- Reviewing BIM documentation such as BIM Execution Plans
- Liaising with BIM technicians from other organisations
Experience Required
- Specific and relevant BIM experience in the construction industry. Ideally 4+ years working in a BIM-related role
- Non-essential but beneficial knowledge and experience of working in MEP
- Interest in responding to the climate emergency
- Competent user of design software AutoCAD & Revit
- Non-essential but beneficial experience using MagiCAD
- Ability to work well within a team, both internally and externally
- Be motivated, practically minded, independent and enthusiastic
