This is an exciting opportunity for exceptional English Teachers to demonstrate outstanding practice in delivery of the KS4 curriculum. You will be part of a new team, directly responsible to the Director of Secondary school with the sole purpose of increasing outcomes in English at KS4 in areas of East Anglia that need exceptional practitioners.

The role will be stimulating and wide-ranging. You will be responsible for improving outcomes in English in one of three secondary schools. You will be assigned a year 10 and year 11 class, with expectation to drive standards forwards. The majority of pupils within your classes will be pupil premium, so this position represents a real opportunity to make a difference, in areas of the country where aspirations are low. As part of your role, you will have the opportunity to work the Director of English on refining the English curriculum and pedagogical approaches, to ensure best practice is shared.
We are looking for English Teachers who are passionate and knowledgeable about the English curriculum, with the experience and interpersonal skills to work with colleagues within schools. Successful applicants will have clear evidence of achieving excellent outcomes for students on a sustained basis.

The ideal candidate will have:

    Evidence of experience achieving exceptional outcomes at KS4

    An appropriate degree and other qualifications required for the award of QTS

    A postgraduate qualification in English
