We have an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Data Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. We’re looking for someone who possesses a strong foundation in analytics and also looks to understand the intricacies of a business area, to then use this information to craft impactful analytics products.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with our business units and identify opportunities where analytics can better contribute to overarching business goals. You will create reports and dashboards to enable stakeholders to find the information they need, demonstrating a strong understanding of UX principles and a relevant coding language to visualise complex data. By utilising data and information, you can create insights for the business and make recommendations where necessary.
As a steward of the Management Board Report, you will enhance and maintain this crucial dashboard and meet the evolving requirements of our stakeholders. You will also extend your expertise to support our cross-business analytics activities, encompassing report creation, maintenance, and the generation of actionable insights.
Our ideal candidate will be an expert in Power BI development and be proficient in Databricks SQL, allowing self-service of data and our analytical platforms.
What will you be doing?
Drive business value for our stakeholders, by leveraging expertise in analytics, visualisations and seeking out opportunities to enhance business value.
Collaborating effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations and effectively remove any blockers
Utilise and expand your network, catalogues, and data architecture models to source the relevant data. Supporting the business where necessary to improve quality.
Employ coding languages and statistical methods to merge our diverse datasets. You will need to proficiently reverse engineer some models and understand common data modelling practices.
Craft compelling and intuitive visualisations that are rooted in a strong understanding of User Experience principals. Translate complex data into easily understandable insights that can empower informed business decisions.
Operate within relevant standards and governance, adhering to analytics principles.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as required, taking shared accountability for delivery of value.

What does it take to be an Enterprise Data Analyst?
Expert Power BI Developer: leverage Power BI to develop comprehensive analytics solutions.
Databricks SQL experience: strong experience and competence in utilising Databricks SQL (or the like) for data analysis and management.
Demonstratable experience of applying strong mathematical and IT skills to create effective analytics products
Extensive experience working with relevant data types for the role, such as research, surveys, asset information, transactional work orders etc
Some experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary data or digital team
Understanding of data modelling patterns and standards
Experience recognising the suitability of data for different purposes and communicating this to stakeholders
Evidencable experience of creating and communicating compelling data visualisations aligned to business goals that inform decisions and drive action
Experience troubleshooting common issues with datasets, identifying potential resolutions and implementing
Experience promoting and working to standards and within governance
Experience translating business need into analytics opportunity
