Enterprise Digital Lead Product Owner
Location:London
Hours:Full time
Working Pattern:At least2 days per weekin our London office.
The Opportunity
We’re excited to be looking for a new lead Product Owner for the Digital Services lab within our API and Digital Services Platform at Lloyds Banking Group. The Digital Services lab are at the forefront of the Bank’s ambition to use exciting new technology to help Britain prosper. We provide the core digital capabilities to enable the Bank to deliver the best digital customer and colleague journeys. To do this we’re working with API and data products at scale to support our digital journey owning platforms.
Here’s where you’ll make a difference
  • As the Lead Product Owner you will be accountable for managing a suite of Enterprise Digital applications such as customer mandates, feature management and channel auditing.
  • You will be accountable for progressing our offering of digital products and supporting their integration with the digital journeys as we embark on our biggest digital modernisation ever undertaken in the bank.
  • Day-to-day activity is structured through Agile, so you’ll lead the production of the vision, roadmap and the prioritised backlog of work for the teams.
  • You’ll also be accountable for winning income, managing expenditure, delivery commitments and the team’s risk profile.
  • As the person responsible for successful selection of the right product or service, we’d like you to be as passionate about our product as we are. In particular, for us, this means: collaborating with a diverse and varied group of business areas and people across the Group; keeping your finger on the pulse of emerging ideas and technology; spotting the opportunities around the business to develop new products & services; and finally, leading our talented team of Product Owners and Engineers.

What you’ll need
  • Strategic Thinking. Ability to align product strategy with the overall business goals, foresee industry trends, and adapt the product vision and strategy accordingly. Expertise in developing and maintaining a product roadmap that balances short-term achievements with long-term goals, considering stakeholder feedback, market trends, and technological advancements.
  • Experience of leading end to end of a software & infrastructure production service across all dimensions of people, process and technology. Lead, motivate, and manage product teams, ensuring that the team remains focused and efficient in achieving product goals.
  • Stakeholder Management. Strong skills in managing and communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, to ensure alignment and buy-in on the product vision and roadmap.
  • Effective Communication. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, tailored to a wide range of audiences, from technical teams to executive stakeholders.
  • Customer and Market Insight User-Centric Approach. Deep understanding of the user experience, based on empirical data to inform product improvements.

And any experience of these would be really useful
  • Understanding of web and mobile journeys and the Digital, API and DataTechnologies that support them.
  • Developer Tooling Familiarity. Awareness of the tools and environments used by developers to create, test, and deploy automation solutions, including version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and development frameworks specific to automation technologies.
  • Technical Literacy. Ability to grasp technical concepts and communicate effectively with technical teams.
