Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a globally recognised, specialist construction and manufacturing contractor, to recruit an Environment and Sustainability Coordinator. This role will work closely with their Environment and Sustainability Manager, to ensure successful delivery of their environmental initiatives across a range of construction sites.

This organisation has a track record of successful delivery of high-profile projects, and the environmental agenda is core to their operations.

Key responsibilities of the Environment and Sustainability Coordinator will include:

• Manage and collect environmental compliance and Net Zero Carbon data records (e.g. BREEAM, LEED, LCA, GHG), to be used for reports on business performance.
• Reporting on data collection findings, and working with the team to identify the trends, presenting these when required to management/stakeholders
• Carrying out site inspections and internal audits, to maintain and improve the groups Environmental Management Systems and other annual environmental objectives.
• Monitoring environmental performance of projects, seeking opportunities for improvement, and providing tailored solutions

The successful Environment and Sustainability Coordinator requires:

• Environment or Sustainability experience within the construction, manufacturing or related sector, or a keen interest in the sector
• Qualified in an appropriate environmental discipline, and ideally professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
• Ideally knowledge on ISO14001, BREEAM, or GHG
• Knowledge and experience in handling sets of data within Excel, and creating reports on these findings
