Environmental And Sustainability Officer

This position involves ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainability efforts within an manufacturing setting. The Environmental and Sustainability Officer will be responsible for implementing, managing, and monitoring environmental strategies.

Description

To be the SSGB focal point for energy usage, conservation, reporting and auditing. To lead the carbon reduction programme across all SSGB sites and activities. To introduce innovative processes to drive sustainability within an Engineering and Manufacturing Aerospace industry.

Profile

A successful Environmental and Sustainability Officer should have:

• Educated to degree level and/or a recognised professional qualification in an Environmental Science subject or equivalent
• Hold an accredited environmental or energy auditing certificate
• Formal qualification in project management

Experience

• Knowledge of project management tools and methodology
• Good working knowledge of the UK Energy Market, practices and Legislation
• Experience in manufacturing and/or engineering
• Experience in the aviation sector
