Key Responsibilities: As an Environmental Consultant, you will support projects that provide practical advice and solutions for environmental issues. Your responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating on projects to deliver high-quality, pragmatic advice and solutions.
* Writing technical interpretative reports on flood risk, sustainable drainage, and land contamination. While knowledge in at least one of these areas is required, training will be provided.
* Conducting external consultations with regulatory bodies, such as local authorities.
* Managing project timelines and budgets effectively.
* Taking an active role in client account management, understanding their needs, and ensuring their requirements are met.
* Identifying new opportunities and assisting with client queries to contribute to business growth.
* Supporting company growth and development plans and gaining experience in the commercial aspects of environmental consultancy.
* Adhering to company quality assurance and health and safety procedures.
Role Requirements: Essential:
* A degree in earth science, geography, or a related field.
* A postgraduate qualification in a related science would be advantageous.
* Experience using GIS, particularly QGIS, or CAD.
* Strong communication skills, with an excellent telephone manner.
* Willingness to engage with clients via telephone and email, as well as regular consultations with regulatory bodies.
* Experience in technical report writing.
* Enthusiastic and collaborative team player.
* Good administration and organizational skills to manage your own time effectively.
* A valid driver's license and willingness to drive for business purposes when required.
