Exciting Opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety Officer with NEBOSH and ISO Expertise

Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Environmental Health and Safety Officer to lead our EHS efforts.
With strong understanding of ISO best practice and audit process, you will be seeking your next long term EHS career step within a prestigious team offering superb benefits package.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs that align with NEBOSH and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. NEBOSH and ISO Compliance: Ensure compliance with NEBOSH and ISO standards, including but not limited to ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems). Develop and maintain systems and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
2. Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify workplace hazards and develop strategies for risk mitigation. Implement controls and measures to minimize risks and prevent accidents or incidents.
3. Auditing and Certification: Coordinate internal and external audits to assess compliance with NEBOSH, ISO, and other regulatory requirements. Prepare for and participate in certification audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation and processes are in place.
Audit experience is highly desirable in application for this exciting role.
4. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses. Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Ensure timely reporting of incidents to regulatory agencies as required.
Qualifications:
* Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field qualifications or qualification by employment experience welcomed
* NEBOSH certification, with a strong understanding of NEBOSH standards and requirements.
* Experience implementing and managing ISO management systems, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
* Knowledge of IATF 16949
* Proven experience in Environmental Health and Safety management, ideally in manufacturing but other backgrounds considered.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
