Your role

We are looking for a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer/Food andSafety Officer to join our forward thinking and ambitious Food and Safety Team. Your role will be to deliver a wide range of regulatory and advisory activities covering occupational health and Safety, food safety, infectious disease control, skin piercing registration and port health.

What you will need:

A detailed knowledge of legislation, codes of practice and associated guidance is essential as is the ability to use your initiative, to investigate, make sound judgements and undertake a range of risk-based proportionate interventions.

You must hold a suitable Food Law Code of Practice qualification, at Level 5 or above, including but not limited to the Higher Certificate in Food Control, Higher Certificate in Premises Inspection, or a degree in an Environmental Health related subject. Ideally, you will have post qualification experience in food safety and occupational health and Safety. Having a working knowledge of the IT system Uniform is desirable.
