Our client is an innovative manufacturing business which is driving towards a net-zero strategy. Due to this goal, our client is now looking to recruit an Environmental & Sustainability Manager to spearhead their net zero project.
As an Environmental & Sustainability Manager you will report into the Head of HSEQ and work closely with the management team and stakeholders to drive R&D efforts to reduce the companies overall carbon foot print.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable practices across the organisation.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive net-zero strategy, including measurable goals and milestones.
- Support the development and implementation of the business's environmental strategy.
- Establish a system for tracking and reporting carbon emissions at a product level for customer transparency.
- Drive R&D initiatives to innovate manufacturing processes and materials to reduce carbon emissions.
- Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure strict compliance with environmental legislation.
- Assist in coordinating pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy initiatives.
- Foster a culture of sustainability within the company.
For this role, our client is looking for someone with previous experience in environmental management who has demonstrable experience in implementing and improving processes.
