Grade: AT4

The British Horseracing Authority is the single governing and regulatory body for British Horseracing which ensures the continuing integrity and successful development of the sport. It is the BHA's role to act for and on behalf of the whole sport, ensuring the highest standards for the sport and participants, on and away from the racecourse. Our vision is simple: to build a brighter future for our sport, our horses and our people.

This is an exciting permanent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual with relevant horseracing and equine handling experience. You will work closely within the EWIO and wider Raceday Team to uphold the highest standards of Equine Welfare and Integrity.

The EWIO team are responsible for identifying racehorses, maintaining the security of the racecourse stable yard, ensuring excellent racehorse health and welfare and for collecting and assisting in collection of anti-doping and medication control samples. The role requires extensive travel to racecourses across the country.

The successful applicants will:

Have a good understanding of British Horseracing. Be highly competent in handling racehorses. Have demonstrable experience of working within a team. Be thorough and methodical, with the ability to strictly adhere to working procedures and SOPs. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain strong and effective working relationships. Show an understanding of conflict resolution. Be highly confidential, honest and with personal integrity.
