Escort Driver/ Banksman

Wilson James are currently recruiting for a Escort Driver/Banksman to join us at the HLI site in Colnbrook.

As an Escort Driver/Banksman, you will be escorting delivery vehicles to a variety of airside locations, safely and in line with the procedure. You will also be responsible for controlling the flow of vehicles though the CLC, assisting in preparation of vehicles and drivers delivering to the CLC warehouse, landside deliveries or airside through CMS. The role also involves supporting Driver Reception in relation to delivery vehicle escort duties.

Main Duties:

• Carry out verification checks of all CLC deliveries to include vehicle safety checks, driver's PPE and vehicle dimension checks etc.
• Liaise with Site Security, Driver Reception, Warehouse and Construction Material Screening Security in regards to vehicle and driver processing though the CLC.
• Ensure that the escorted driver is fully aware of the Airside Safety and Security rules and that he/she is prepared for security as part of the CMS process.
• Ensure that the driver has the correct ID documentation and check the vehicle apron pass is on display.
• Ensure integrity of the load on route to the appropriate CP location and ‘on route safety' to its onward DMZ location.
• Assist vehicles though narrow entrances, junctions or turnings on route to and from site.
• Actively report changes to height restriction making management aware of all variations.
• Have flexibility to change from day to night shift on demand if pressure of work dictates.
• Carry out inspection routine of vehicles and complete relevant vehicle check sheet, reporting defects in a timely manner.
• Any additional reasonable duties requested by CLC operation management.

Essential Criteria:

• Ability to meet all vetting requirements to include CTC
• Airside Pass and Airside Driving Permit
• Escort Driver qualified (willing to train to that level and pass associated exams)
• GSO Level 1 Module 1&5 (or willing to train and pass exams to this level)
• Banksman/ Traffic Marshal trained
