Job description

We are currently seeking an Estates & Facilities Security Assistant to join The Bedford College Group at our Wellingborough Campus. As an Estates & Facilities Security Assistant you play an important role in the success of our students through: Responding and assisting with different types of emergencies; first aid, fire alarms, bomb alerts, floods, gas leaks. Responding to reports of intruders on site and other crime related incidents. To protect the college property against loss, theft and damage. Undertaking first aid training and be a college first aider. Being familiar with college requirements in relation to student conduct and expected behaviour on site. Ideal candidates will have minimum of 1 year’s work experience in security and willing to obtain a basic level of health and safety knowledge, alongside the following qualifications: SIA training & licence Literacy and communication skills and have excellent verbal and written English Successful candidates must also be able to demonstrate alignment to our organisational VISION values: Valuing Teamwork - We are one team who by working together can achieve great things, respecting the opinion and valuing the contribution each of us makes.
