SalaryOur client, a Good OFSTED rated secondary school, is seeking an enthusiastic Estates Officer to join its small team.
Reporting to the Estates Manager, your role is to ensure the safety and security of the staff, students, parents and visitors whilst on site.
Your responsibilities will be to manage the building and grounds and undertake repairs and maintenance when required. You will conduct statutory testing as required and ensure Health & Safety legislation is adhered to. Document all statutory checks and oversee and supervise lettings sessions, setting up of meeting rooms and any ad hoc duties required.
The Estates Officer will be educated to GCSE standard, with experience of working within a hands on premises and maintenance function. Proven experience in repairs within a trade role is essential for this position.
The hours of work are 12.30pm - 8.30pm with the flexibility to cover other shifts when required during sickness or holiday periods.
On a personal basis, you will have excellent customer service skills and can build good relationships quickly. You must be reliable and flexible, able to work within a team and on your own initiative.
