Estimating Manager

Salary: £60-70K + bonus

The Role:

This is a pivotal role as they look to modernise their Estimating function and develop a ‘best in class’ approach. You will work closely with existing and potential clients, preparing and submitting estimates for a variety of schemes and frameworks.

It will work closely with the procurement and wider commercial teams, and aim to secure projects ranging from £100K to £25M+ across all areas within the civil engineering space.

Estimating Manager – Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting comprehensive analysis and cost estimation of civil engineering projects

- Identify risks and opportunities and incorporate them into a tender bid

- Challenge proposed designs and methodology to identify possible alternative construction methods, technologies, and products

- Work closely with MD in leading the commercial team and provide input into the organisation’s marketing and wider business strategy

Estimating Manager – You:

- Minimum 10 years experience in an Estimating or Seniom role within a civil engineering organisation

- Experience in Causeway, Candy or similar estimating packages

- Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts

- Previous experience of leading and managing a team
