Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial glazing projects.
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bids.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and deliver cost-effective solutions.
- Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Evaluate and assess potential risks and provide recommendations for cost control.
- Maintain and update a database of cost information and pricing.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably within the commercial glazing or construction industry.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, estimating software).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
