Evaluation Lead

STEM Learning, the leading provider of STEM education and careers support in the UK, collaborates with schools, colleges, employers, and partners to inspire and engage young individuals in STEM subjects, preparing them for future success. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Evaluation Lead within their Impact and Evidence Team.

As the Evaluation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and executing a diverse range of evaluation projects across STEM Learning's programmes. Working closely with the Head of Impact and Evidence, as well as collaborating with other teams and external partners, you will ensure the integrity, effectiveness, and utility of our evaluation activities. Additionally, your responsibilities will extend to leading and nurturing a small team of evaluation professionals, guiding them to deliver high-quality work and meet their objectives.

To excel in this role, it is essential to possess a Master's or PhD in social research, education, or a related field. If you have a relevant professional qualification combined with experience in a comparable position, that would also be valuable. Your proficiency in social research and the evaluation of projects/programmes, spanning the design and implementation of evaluation plans, methods, and tools, as well as expertise in data analysis, synthesis, and reporting, will play a pivotal role. Furthermore, your skill in stakeholder management will empower you to establish fruitful relationships, influence decision-making processes, negotiate outcomes, and disseminate best practices.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in York, which offers a flexible working policy, allowing for remote work for two days a week.
