Main Duties
We’re looking for an Events and Campaigns Assistant to join our Development Team. If you’re a creative and organised with good attention to detail and have an interest in communications or events in the arts and/or charity sector we want to hear from you. This is a part time role, equivalent to 21 hours per week.

If you are interested in communications or events in the arts and/or charity sector, this is a great opportunity to develop your career. You will be responsible for assisting the Development team at Polka Theatre in a rewarding and varied role. You will provide administrative support and co-ordinate Events and Campaigns at Polka.
We think the role will suit you if you are creative and organised with good attention to detail. Fundraising Events and Campaigns at Polka help raise money to support Polka’s charitable activities. This makes a lasting difference to children who benefit from Polka’s shows and creative learning activities. You’ll experience first-hand the impact of your work.

Skills and Experience Required
This is the role for you, if you:
· Want to learn how run a VIP event, taking real responsibility for a selection of Polka’s special engagements for people who donate towards our work.
· Have excellent administrative skills and attention to detail and take pride in working together with a team to look after our valued supporters.
· Want to learn how to make a fundraising pitch, having the chance to independently source auction prizes and corporate sponsorship.
