This is an excellent junior opportunity for an execution-focused and results-oriented individual to join a distinctive London-based Law Firm and become an integral part of the marketing and business development team as an Events Assistant.
The role will involve supporting the organisation of events at both a firm wide and practice area level including seminars, conferences and key client entertainment in line with the practice area development plans. The successful individual will work closely with the firm's Senior Events Manager and the Events Manager and will be responsible for providing general day-to-day administrative support including creating and managing event collateral, maintaining invitation lists and collating event RSVPs, providing meet and greet services and managing registration desks on site at events. The Events Assistant will be required to liaise with fee earners throughout the event planning process in relation to decisions and approval, and to ensure that they are kept up to date with progress and fully briefed ahead of events. In addition, the role holder will assist with event reporting, including attendee lists, attendee breakdowns and final costs, and will also have the opportunity to independently arrange small in-house events such as dinners and webinars.
The firm are looking for someone with exceptional administrative skills who can roll up their sleeves and hit the ground running. The successful candidate will have previous experience of or a demonstrated interest in events and will ideally possess previous experience in a professional services environment. With meticulous attention to detail and a positive approach, the Events Assistant will have first class communication skills and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines, to balance difference requests and to work well under pressure.
