VANRATH are delighted to be supporting the recruitment of an Events Coordinator for a leading Public Sector organisation. This is an initial interim contract with an immediate start date.

About your next employer
To be responsible to the Events Officer for assisting with the development, management, delivery and evaluation of a comprehensive, customer focused programme of events. This will include establishing regular programmes, schemes, fun days and events to encourage the use of open spaces and active living in line with the council’s Open Space Strategy.
To promote the organisations key messages through outdoor events in parks.
To research new developments in events management and providing advice to members and staff on issues relevant to parks events.
To support the Open Spaces and Active Living Manager with the delivery of the Parks and Open Spaces strategy.
About you
- At least 1 year’s experience assisting with the planning and delivery of outdoor events and activities
- Assisting with the marketing and promotion of events
- Competent using Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organisational skills
- Creative thinker
What you’ll do
- To assist the Events Officer with developing and managing comprehensive and varied programme of events in parks and open spaces.
- To act as first point of contact for all customers enquiring about booking events.
- To assist with the preparation and evaluation of tenders and quotations in respect of events
- Ensure all due diligence is carried out in relation to scheduled events
- To support and coordinate all media associated with planned events
